About The Course
Consistently ranked in Golf Digest’s Top Ten Golf Courses in Arkansas since 1997
The crown jewel of golf courses in Hot Springs Village
The Diamante Country Club Course offers an exclusive, private club experience on one of Arkansas’s most acclaimed courses. This par‑72, 7,560-yard masterpiece was designed by Ault, Clark & Associates and has earned multiple accolades.
It was ranked #1 in the state by Golf Digest 1997-99 – the years it was first eligible – and has consistently ranked as a top golf course in Arkansas every year since. The current #4 ranking is just the latest prime position that Diamante has scored since it garnered the #1 spot in 1997. The Golf Digest course rating system is the gold standard in course ratings in that it is the only group that uses a trained panel of low-handicapped golfers to assess the best courses in each state on a biennial basis.
In assessing a course, the Golf Digest raters use a 7-category system. Diamante ranked highest on Fun, Shot Options, Challenge, Layout Variety, and Aesthetics. In essence, players have a great time playing strategic golf in a beautiful setting in which they never get bored. Comments from the raters range from “The 17th hole is one of the best short par 4s in the state and is truly a great hole” to “Diamante is a stern test from the tips and user friendly from the up tees.”
In a nod to retirement village courses Golf Digest noted that “compared to many retirement village courses, this course is a bit unique with houses set much farther back than normal from the course. So the course has a chance to stand on its own with lots of positive attributes.”
Featuring dramatic elevation changes, perfectly sculpted zoysia fairways, and tour-quality SR1020 bentgrass greens, Diamante challenges golfers with bold bunkering, strategic water hazards, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Course Layout
Hole-By-Hole Breakdown
Front 9

- Hole 1 – Par 4, 429 yd (Gold Tees) A commanding opener on wide fairways with panoramic views. A strong, controlled drive centers your second shot and avoids early trouble.
- Hole 2 – Par 4, 497 yd A long, demanding par-4 from the back tees—requires both length and placement. Favor the fairway to set up a reachable second shot.
- Hole 3 – Par 5, 595 yd A true three-shot par-5. Think strategically—lay up to a comfortable wedge rather than trying to get aggressive early.
- Hole 4 – Par 3, 233 yd A standout risk-reward hole with water prominently in play. Club up for distance and land short of trouble for the safest route.
- Hole 5 – Par 4, 482 yd Rolling terrain hides nuances—position off the tee to avoid misread slopes on your approach.
- Hole 6 – Par 4, 301 yd Shorter par-4 that tempts attack. Still, accuracy over distance ensures the best angle to a large, elevated green.
- Hole 7 – Par 3, 206 yd A longer one-shot test. Feel out the wind, trust your yardage, and favor center on this sloping green.
- Hole 8 – Par 5, 589 yd The longest par-5 on the front; stay disciplined. A measured strategy through the fairway sets up birdie potential.
- Hole 9 – Par 4, 433 yd A balanced finisher. A solid tee shot rewards a manageable approach—key to staying in rhythm through the turn.
Back 9

- Hole 10 – Par 4, 414 yd A handsomely framed hole with elevation changes. Avoid hanging your tee shot out too far right, or your angle narrows.
- Hole 11 – Par 5, 651 yd The course’s beast—long and strategic. Focus on fairway positioning over length; distance alone won’t carry the day.
- Hole 12 – Par 3, 206 yd Straightforward but demanding. Center of the green remains your best friend with fast-rolling contours.
- Hole 13 – Par 4, 481 yd (“El Terrible”)
Start of the famed “Los Tres Diablos.” A brutal par-4—keep it in the fairway to avoid heavy penalties. - Hole 14 – Par 4, 472 yd (“La Muerte”) The second of the “Devils.” Long and maintaining pressure—precision off the tee is non-negotiable.
- Hole 15 – Par 4, 486 yd (“El Infierno”) The third and fiercest. Guarded on all sides, this hole demands disciplined placement and composure under pressure.
- Hole 16 – Par 3, 205 yd A respite mid-back. A solid iron to center gives a birdie opportunity before the stretch finale.
- Hole 17 – Par 4, 315 yd A festival of risk and reward—and a local favorite. Pinslide-invite a clever tee shot; risk pays off if confidence and shape align.
- Hole 18 – Par 5, 565 yd A dramatic closer with rolling fairways and a rewarding, panoramic finish. Stick to your plan and let the course reward your discipline.
