DeSoto Golf Course Overview

Hole-By-Hole Breakdown

Front 9

DeSoto Golf Course - Front 9

  • Hole 1 – Par 4, 408 yards (Black Tees)  A strong opening hole with no immediate threats—ample fairway width rewards a confident tee shot. Aim for center-left off the tee to set up a solid mid-iron approach.
  • Hole 2 – Par 4, 415 yards  Slightly longer, this dogleg-left invites strategic tee placement to open up the angle. Play safely to the right center for the best view of the green.
  • Hole 3 – Par 4, 317 yards  Shorter and straightforward. Accuracy is key—stick with precision instead of power to leave yourself the best birdie chance.
  • Hole 4 – Par 3, 167 yards  Requires a long iron and careful club selection. Center of the green is your safe zone—anything short or long could lead to a difficult par save.
  • Hole 5 – Par 4, 389 yards  A balanced challenge—play with control. Staying in the fairway avoids tiered rough and delivers a manageable approach shot.
  • Hole 6 – Par 5, 542 yards  The longest hole on the course. A strong tee keeps you in play; consider laying up short of the hazard (if present) to leave a clean third shot.
  • Hole 7 – Par 4, 415 yards  Another thoughtful par 4—opt for a fairway wood or long iron off the tee to avoid deep rough and approach the green with confidence.
  • Hole 8 – Par 5, 486 yards  Reachable in two for long hitters, though hazards could lurk near the green. Play it smart—favor precision over power and let your third shot deliver.
  • Hole 9 – Par 3, 177 yards  The front-nine closer, demanding accuracy over distance. Visibility into the green is good, but it’s best approached with steady pace and centered focus.

Back 9

DeSoto Golf Course - Back 9

  • Hole 10 – Par 4, 411 yards  A smooth continuation into the back—with ideal tee placement offering a clear mid-iron or hybrid approach.
  • Hole 11 – Par 3, 181 yards  Requires honesty in club selection. Favor center placement to avoid sloping edges that complicate two-putts.
  • Hole 12 – Par 4, 401 yards  Straightforward but deceptive—anticipate rolling fairways that can pull tee shots right. Trust your line.
  • Hole 13 – Par 4, 388 yards
Hugs the middle distance between layout and challenge. Accurate fairway placement puts you in prime position for a solid iron into the green.
  • Hole 14 – Par 3, 203 yards  Longest par 3 here, demanding a confident long iron or hybrid. Favor the center of the green—even when pin placements tempt aggression.
  • Hole 15 – Par 4, 403 yards  Balanced layout. Favor center to left off the tee for optimal approach angles. Strong par opportunity if executed well.
  • Hole 16 – Par 5, 518 yards  Another strategic par 5 where laying up is smart; this leaves a workable mid-iron into the green—great birdie potential without taking unnecessary risks.
  • Hole 17 – Par 4, 344 yards  Short but deliberate. A fairway wood or 3-wood keeps ball-bombers grounded and leaves a comfortable birdie setup.
  • Hole 18 – Par 5, 530 yards  A strong finishing hole—long and demanding, yet fair. Place your drive wisely in the fairway and let a well-positioned third shot set you up for a memorable finish.

Long-Hole Wisdom: On par-5s, precision in placement often pays more than distance—lay up when needed, attack the green smartly.

Approaches and Club Control: Mid to long irons into well-kept greens make accuracy your best friend.

Consistent Pace: Stick to “play ready golf,” repair divots and ball marks, and respect cart path/grass preservation policies as outlined in the course rules.

Fun golf course and check out the bar and restaurant too.
Bryan Zander
Have played here each year the last 4 years with my son. The course is beautiful, playable, and the greens are fast! Staff is kid friendly and we appreciate the kids' teeing area in the fairways. Great experience.
Stephen Jones
Fun course and well maintained. Golfed two rounds. A bit disappointed that I didn't hit in any bunkers because they looked nice. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked nice with a good menu. Bar staff friendly.
Nicole C.
The staff is friendly and greens are in good shape. The course is on the short side but has lots of dog legs and blind shots, which makes it challenging.

Celebrated a bachelor party here and the Club couldn’t have been more accommodating! 12 guys had a great time and were all impressed by the course’s beauty and challenge. The food and drinks were wonderful too!
Cristina Davis
Attended a party with 60 people. The servers were fast and efficient and the food was hot and delicious! Hubs got the pot roast which was fall apart tender and I had the smothered chicken- yum.

The oldest of the 9 courses at the Village, but a good, fun course to play, with enough challenge for any golfer. Very nice, fast Champion Bermuda greens, friendly staff, and a large restaurant.

Course was in great shape, I loved the layout. What I didn't love was a foursome not letting me play through, I suppose they don't really want guests playing the course. Not cool at all, no golf etiquette on my particular day.
